Rolling Valley Dolphins – First Weeks Highlights
Hi Rolling Valley Families,
I hope you’re having a wonderful week. We are excited to share our weekly update from the first two weeks of practice! This season started with an amazing turnout, more swimmers at each practice than we’ve ever had. We’ve had a strong and spirited beginning, and we wanted to highlight some of the great things happening across our groups.
13 & Over
Our oldest swimmers showed outstanding leadership and maturity. They got into the cold water on time with positive attitudes and pushed through some tough practices, including turn work using chairs. They not only completed every challenge but also helped prepare the pool for the next group. We are incredibly proud of the example they are setting.
11–12s and 9–10s
These age groups have been very energetic and positive. They are not only learning new skills but excelling in technique. They’ve begun reading intervals and are excited to use the pace clock. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and their progress is impressive.
8 & Unders
Our youngest swimmers are building confidence every day. They are bravely conquering fears of the deep end and adjusting to the cold water. They are growing stronger and more comfortable with each practice, and we love seeing their courage and joy in the pool.
Across all groups, over the past two weeks we have focused on dives, turns, and the strokes Freestyle, Backstroke, and Butterfly. Next week, we will begin working on Breaststroke while continuing to strengthen the other strokes.
Thank you so much for your dedication in getting your swimmers to practice on time and ready to go. We appreciate your partnership and are excited for the great season ahead. In the following weekly updates, we will be sharing photos of our Dolphins working hard and having fun at practice!
Go Dolphins!
