Volunteering 101

Parent volunteers are crucial for running swim meets, typically requiring 40-50+ parents per meet for roles ranging from certified officials (Referee, Starter, Stroke & Turn) to deck workers (Timers, Clerk of Course, Marshals) and table administration (Data Entry, Place Recorder). Most roles require no prior experience, though specialized training is required for key officiating positions. Key NVSL Volunteer Positions
