⏰ Updated Schedule & Arrival
Thanks to some quick thinking by team reps, the schedule shifted slightly to give everyone a few extra minutes in the morning:
- New Arrival Time: 6:55 AM (gives you time to settle in before warm-ups)
- Warm-ups Start: 7:05 AM
- Warm-up Pool Flow: All teams will enter the pool from the start end (by the guard shack) and exit at the deep end (near the team areas). (Please see the attached detailed schedule—aside from the warm-up times, most of the day remains unchanged).
📍 Team Area & Warm-Up Lane
- Team Area & Warm-Up Lane: Lane 3 / Area 3
- Location: This is a prime spot in the venue—you'll have a fantastic view of all the action in the pool, plus convenient entry and exit points for heading to clerk or concessions.
🚗 Parking & Arrival Instructions
Please review the attached parking map carefully before Saturday morning:
- Main Lot Regulations: The entire Sideburn Run parking lot is RESERVED UNTIL 9:30 AM. Parking attendants will be enforcing this early in the morning.
- Parking Passes: I am emailing passes directly to specific families/volunteers. If you don't receive a separate email from me, you will need to park off-site initially.
- Alternate Parking Options:
- Street parking directly across the street.
- The church parking lot (please check the attached map for the exact area we are permitted to use).
- After 9:30 AM: Attendants will leave, and the main Sideburn Run lot opens up for free-for-all public parking.
- Officials Note: All officials for the second half must arrive and be parked before 9:30 AM to ensure a smooth meet start.
📸 Mid-Meet Trophy Presentation & Team Photo
If you or your swimmer don't plan on staying for the entire meet, make sure you stick around through the mid-meet break:
- Trophy Presentations: Both the Division Championship Trophy and the Sportsmanship Trophy will be awarded during the mid-meet break (right between the Butterfly and IM events).
- Team Photo: Right after the awards are announced, we will gather all our swimmers for a quick team photo with the trophy by the diving well—you won't want to miss this photo op!
🍔 Food, Apparel & Live Results
- Shark Shack Concessions: Sideburn Run will have concessions running all day long! They’re kicking off the morning with breakfast burritos and stocking the Shark Shack with plenty of hot food, snacks, and drinks throughout the meet.
- Commemorative T-Shirts: A dedicated t-shirt vendor will be set up just to the right as you enter the main gate. (Check out the attached graphic to see this year's official Divisional shirt design!)
- Official Results Wall: Posted on the wall to the left as you enter the main gate.
- Pro Tip: Results are updated as the meet progresses and typically start going up about midway through the second stroke. If you want to verify your swimmer’s official finish in a tight race, that’s where to check!
Get plenty of rest Friday night, bring your Dolphin spirit on Saturday, and let's finish the season strong! GO DOLPHINS! 🐬🔥
